About Me

My name is Mimi Aron. In July 2020, my husband Ted completed suicide. I have since relocated to the Madison, WI area to be closer to my family. I attempted to search out locally a peer support group which was unsuccessful for what I was looking for, so I decided to start my own. I was fortunate enough to attend a wonderful program in Cleveland, OH presented by Cornerstone of Hope. I have adapted my program based on what I learned from this, in addition to the readings, podcasts and classes I have taken. Currently I am enrolled in a program to become a Certified Grief Educator presented by David Kessler. My ultimate goal is to help survivors learn more about the grief process at the most difficult time of their life.

Professionally, I am a physical therapist with 47 years of practice. Currently I am working part-time in home care environment which I love. I am a mom of 2 and grandmother of 3. My mini poodle Gracie Joy and I live in Madison, close to my grandson Jonathan, who I watch Jeopardy with daily.
